TheAstro (theastro.com.tr) kişisel verileri yalnızca sitenin çalışması için gerektiği kadar işler. Bu metin, 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu'nun 10. maddesi uyarınca hazırlanmıştır.

Giriş yapmadan siteyi gezerken

Dersleri, haberleri ve soruları okumak için hesap gerekmez. Giriş yapmadan gezerken sitede kişisel veri toplanmaz: analiz aracı, reklam çerezi ya da takip pikseli yoktur. Tarayıcında yalnız birkaç teknik kayıt tutulur — seçtiğin tema (theastro-tema), arayüz dili (theastro-dil), gökyüzü takvimi için seçtiğin konum (theastro-konum), bulut tahmini için verdiysen onayın (theastro-bulut-onay) ve giriş yaptıysan oturum bilgin (theastro-oturum). Hepsi kendi cihazındadır, sunucuya gönderilmez.

Konum

Gökyüzü takvimi, olayların senin bulunduğun yerden nasıl göründüğünü gösteriyor: radyantın yüksekliği, karanlığın başlangıcı, tutulmanın ufkun üstünde olup olmadığı. Bunun için bir konuma ihtiyaç var ve konumu üç yoldan verebilirsin:

• 81 ilden birini seçmek. Hiçbir izin gerekmez; il merkezinin koordinatı sitede zaten yazılı.
• "Konumumu kullan". Tarayıcı senden izin ister. İzin verirsen konumun yalnız tarayıcında kalır.
• Elle enlem/boylam yazmak. Hiçbir izin gerekmez.

Konum varsayılan olarak hiçbir yere gönderilmez. Hesap bu sitenin sunucusunda değil, kendi tarayıcında yapılıyor: konumun ne bize ne bir üçüncü tarafa ulaşıyor, hiçbir istek içinde yer almıyor. Yazdığın koordinatın hangi saat diliminde olduğu da tarayıcında bulunuyor, bir servise sorulmuyor. Her iki hesabın kütüphanesi de theastro.com.tr'den iniyor, bir CDN'den değil. Tek istisnası aşağıdaki bulut tahmini ve o da yalnız senin onayınla, sen düğmeye bastıktan sonra çalışıyor.

Saklanan değer yuvarlanmıştır. Konumunu kullandığında ya da koordinat yazdığında değer 0,1 dereceye (yaklaşık 11 km) yuvarlanarak theastro-konum kaydına yazılır. Yani kayıt evini değil, bulunduğun bölgeyi gösterir. Yuvarlama hem saklamada hem hesapta uygulanır, bu yüzden gösterilen saatler de o çözünürlüktedir.

"Konumu unut" gerçekten unutur. Gökyüzü takvimindeki konum denetiminde bu düğme theastro-konum kaydını siler ve site varsayılan konuma (İstanbul) döner. Tarayıcının site verilerini temizlemek de aynı işi yapar.

Bulut tahmini

Gökyüzü kartlarında olayın gözlem aralığındaki bulut örtüsü de gösteriliyor — "bu gece dışarı çıkmaya değer mi" sorusunun cevabı. Verinin kaynağı Open-Meteo.

İl seçtiysen dışarıya hiçbir istek gitmez. 81 ilin tahminini günde dört kez biz çekip tek bir dosyada yayınlıyoruz; tarayıcın o dosyayı theastro.com.tr'den indiriyor. Dosya il başına bölünmüş değil, yani hangi ili seçtiğin bizim sunucu kayıtlarımıza bile düşmüyor.

Cihaz konumunda ve elle yazdığın koordinatta bu bölüm kapalı başlar. Orada hazır bir dosya olamaz: 81 il sayılabilir, dünyanın her koordinatı sayılamaz. Tahmini gösterebilmek için koordinatı Open-Meteo'ya sormak gerekiyor, bu yüzden kartta önce bir düğme çıkıyor: "Bulut tahminini göster". Sen o düğmeye basmadan tek bir istek bile gitmez.

Basınca gönderilen tek şey yuvarlanmış koordinattır (0,1 derece, yaklaşık 11 km). İstekte başka hiçbir bilgi yoktur: ne hangi olaya baktığın, ne arayüz dilin, ne de hangi sayfadan geldiğin — Referer başlığı bilerek gönderilmiyor. Ama her internet isteğinde olduğu gibi IP adresin ve tarayıcı imzan Open-Meteo'ya ulaşır; bunu tarayıcıdan engelleyemeyiz ve onayın anlamı tam olarak budur.

Onay tarayıcında saklanır (theastro-bulut-onay) ve "Konumu unut" onayı da siler. İl seçimine dönersen yukarıdaki dosya yolu çalışır, istek yine gitmez.

Open-Meteo verisi CC BY 4.0 ile kullanılıyor; kaynak ve veriyi gözlem aralığına göre özetlediğimiz notu kartın altında yazılı.

Hesap açtığında işlenen veriler

• Google hesabından gelenler: adın, e-posta adresin ve profil fotoğrafının adresi. Bunları Google'dan, senin giriş sırasında verdiğin izinle alıyoruz.
• Sitede belirlediğin şifre (isteğe bağlı). Şifre açık hâliyle saklanmaz; Supabase Auth tarafından özetlenerek (hash) tutulur, biz de göremeyiz.
• Notların: yazdığın metinler, kod blokları, yüklediğin görseller ve çizimler. Bir notu bir derse bağladıysan o dersin adı da notla birlikte durur.
• Kayıt zamanları: hesabın ve her notun oluşturulma / güncellenme tarihi.

Ne amaçla işleniyor

• Seni tanımak ve oturumunu açık tutmak (ad, e-posta, şifre özeti).
• Notlarını sana — ve yalnızca sana — göstermek.
• Sol menüde adını ve profil fotoğrafını göstermek.

Bu veriler pazarlama için kullanılmaz, üçüncü kişilere satılmaz, reklam amacıyla paylaşılmaz.

Hukuki sebep

Hesap ve not verileri, KVKK m. 5/2-(c) uyarınca sözleşmenin kurulması ve ifası için işlenir: hesabı sen açıyorsun, hizmet de notlarını saklamaktan ibaret. Google ile giriş sırasında verdiğin izin ise açık rıza (m. 5/1) kapsamındadır ve hesabını silerek her an geri alabilirsin.

Nerede saklanıyor

Veriler Supabase üzerinde barındırılan bir PostgreSQL veritabanında ve Supabase Storage'da tutulur. Supabase bu iş için kullandığımız veri işleyendir; sunucular yurt dışındadır, yani veriler KVKK m. 9 anlamında yurt dışına aktarılır. Hesap açarken bunu kabul etmiş olursun.

• Notlar veritabanında satır bazında korunur (row level security): sorgu senin oturumunla gelmiyorsa satır hiç dönmez.
• Görseller ve çizimler herkese açık olmayan bir Storage kovasında, kendi klasöründe durur. Bir görseli görüntülemek için sunucudan süreli ve imzalı bir adres alınır; adres olmadan dosyaya ulaşılamaz.
• Yüklediğin görseller tarayıcında yeniden kodlanır; bu sırada EXIF verisi (konum, cihaz, çekim tarihi) tamamen silinir — sunucuya ulaşan dosyada bu bilgiler yoktur.

Ne kadar süreyle saklanıyor

Hesabın açık kaldığı sürece. Hesabını sildiğinde notların, görsellerin ve çizimlerin aynı anda silinir; ayrıca bir arşiv kopyası tutulmaz.

Hesabını ve notlarını silmek

1. Tek bir notu silmek için: notu aç, altındaki “Bu notu sil” bağlantısına bas. Notun içindeki görsel ve çizimler de silinir.
2. Hesabının tamamını silmek için: sol alttaki adına bas, açılan pencerede “Hesabımı sil” → e-posta adresini yazarak onayla. İşlem geri alınamaz.

Silme talebini yazılı olarak da iletebilirsin; aşağıdaki adrese yazman yeterli.

KVKK m. 11 kapsamındaki haklarım

Kişisel verilerinle ilgili olarak; işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını öğrenme, yurt içinde/dışında aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik veya yanlış işlenmişse düzeltilmesini, şartları oluştuğunda silinmesini isteme ve işlenmesine itiraz etme haklarına sahipsin. Bu taleplerini aşağıdaki e-posta adresine iletebilirsin; en geç otuz gün içinde yanıtlanır.

Çerezler

Reklam ya da analiz çerezi kullanılmıyor. Yukarıda anlatılan localStorage kayıtları dışında tarayıcına bir şey yazılmıyor; hepsini tarayıcının site verilerini temizleyerek silebilirsin.

Dış hizmetler

• Google — yalnız “Google ile giriş” için. Google'ın kendi gizlilik politikası geçerlidir.
• Supabase — veritabanı, kimlik doğrulama ve dosya saklama.
• Google Fonts ve cdnjs — yazı tipleri ve kod renklendirme kütüphanesi. Bu isteklerde tarayıcının IP adresi ilgili sunucuya görünür.

TheAstro (theastro.com.tr) processes personal data only as far as the site needs to work. This notice has been prepared under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (KVKK).

Browsing without signing in

You do not need an account to read the lessons, the news or the questions. No personal data is collected while you browse without signing in: there is no analytics tool, no advertising cookie and no tracking pixel. Only a few technical records are kept in your browser — the theme you chose (theastro-tema), the interface language (theastro-dil), the location you chose for the sky calendar (theastro-konum), your consent for the cloud forecast if you gave it (theastro-bulut-onay) and, if you have signed in, your session (theastro-oturum). All of them stay on your own device and are never sent to the server.

Location

The sky calendar shows how events look from where you are: how high the radiant rises, when darkness begins, whether an eclipse is above your horizon. That needs a location, and you can give one in three ways:

• Pick one of the 81 provinces. No permission is needed; the coordinates of the provincial centres are already part of the site.
• "Use my location". Your browser asks you for permission. If you grant it, your location stays in your browser only.
• Type a latitude and longitude. No permission is needed.

By default your location is never sent anywhere. The calculation runs in your own browser, not on this site's server: your location reaches neither us nor any third party, and it is not part of any request. Which time zone your coordinates fall in is also worked out in your browser, not asked of any service. Both libraries are served from theastro.com.tr rather than a CDN. The one exception is the cloud forecast below, and that runs only with your consent, after you press the button.

The stored value is rounded. When you use your location or type coordinates, the value is rounded to 0.1 degrees (about 11 km) before it is written to theastro-konum. The record therefore points at your area, not at your home. The rounding is applied both when storing and when calculating, so the times shown have the same resolution.

"Forget location" really forgets. That button in the sky calendar's location control deletes the theastro-konum record and the site returns to the default location (Istanbul). Clearing the site data in your browser does the same.

Cloud forecast

The sky cards also show the cloud cover during the observing window — the answer to "is it worth going out tonight". The data comes from Open-Meteo.

If you picked a province, no request leaves the site. We fetch the forecast for all 81 provinces four times a day and publish it as a single file; your browser downloads that file from theastro.com.tr. The file is not split per province, so which province you chose does not even appear in our own server logs.

For your device location and for coordinates you type, this section starts switched off. No pre-made file is possible there: 81 provinces can be enumerated, every coordinate on Earth cannot. Showing a forecast means asking Open-Meteo about that coordinate, so the card shows a button first: "Show the cloud forecast". Until you press it, not a single request is made.

When you press it, the only thing sent is the rounded coordinate (0.1 degrees, about 11 km). Nothing else is in the request: not which event you are looking at, not your interface language, not the page you came from — the Referer header is deliberately withheld. But as with any request on the internet, your IP address and browser signature do reach Open-Meteo; we cannot prevent that from the browser, and that is precisely what your consent is about.

The consent is stored in your browser (theastro-bulut-onay) and "Forget location" clears it too. If you go back to picking a province, the file path above applies again and no request is made.

Open-Meteo data is used under CC BY 4.0; the credit, and the note that we summarise the data over the observing window, appear at the bottom of the card.

Data processed when you open an account

• From your Google account: your name, your email address and the address of your profile photo. We receive these from Google with the permission you give while signing in.
• The password you set for the site (optional). The password is not stored in the clear; Supabase Auth keeps it hashed, so we cannot see it either.
• Your notes: the text you write, code blocks, images you upload and drawings. If you linked a note to a lesson, the name of that lesson is kept with the note as well.
• Timestamps: when your account and each of your notes were created and last updated.

Why it is processed

• To recognise you and keep your session open (name, email, password hash).
• To show your notes to you — and only to you.
• To show your name and profile photo in the left-hand menu.

This data is not used for marketing, not sold to third parties and not shared for advertising.

Legal basis

Account and note data is processed under KVKK art. 5/2-(c), for the establishment and performance of a contract: you open the account yourself, and the service consists of storing your notes. The permission you give while signing in with Google falls under explicit consent (art. 5/1) and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.

Where it is stored

The data is kept in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase and in Supabase Storage. Supabase is the data processor we use for this; its servers are outside Turkey, which means the data is transferred abroad within the meaning of KVKK art. 9. You accept this when you open an account.

• Notes are protected row by row in the database (row level security): if a query does not arrive with your session, no row is returned at all.
• Images and drawings are kept in a non-public Storage bucket, in your own folder. To display an image, a signed and time-limited address is requested from the server; without that address the file cannot be reached.
• Images you upload are re-encoded in your browser, and in the process the EXIF data (location, device, capture date) is removed entirely — the file that reaches the server no longer carries it.

How long it is kept

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your notes, images and drawings are deleted at the same time; no archive copy is kept.

Deleting your account and your notes

1. To delete a single note: open it and press “Delete this note” below it. The images and drawings inside it are deleted too.
2. To delete your whole account: press your name at the bottom left, then “Delete my account” in the panel that opens, and confirm by typing your email address. This cannot be undone.

You can also send a deletion request in writing; writing to the address below is enough.

Your rights under KVKK art. 11

In relation to your personal data you have the right to learn whether it is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to know the third parties it is transferred to inside or outside Turkey, to have it corrected if it is incomplete or wrong, to request its deletion where the conditions are met, and to object to its processing. You can send such requests to the email address below; they are answered within thirty days at the latest.

External services

• Google — only for “Sign in with Google”. Google's own privacy policy applies.
• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Google Fonts and cdnjs — fonts and the syntax-highlighting library. Your browser's IP address is visible to those servers when these requests are made.
• NASA APOD — the picture of the day in the left-hand menu. Your browser never goes to NASA: the image is downloaded on our side once a day and served from our own bucket.
